The final member of the trio that used a baton and a knife to rob the Brookfield Veterinary Centre of cash and drugs has been sentenced to prison.
Cathy Anne Davies appeared in front of Judge Christopher Harding in the Tauranga District Court today and was sentenced to four years and two months in prison and $230 reparation for emotional harm.
On July 24, 2013 Davies entered the centre wearing a balaclava with an extendable metal baton along with co-offender Thomas Borthwick, 23. Borthwick was armed with a large carving knife entered the centre and demanded the lone staff member open the safe. He fled with about $250 cash and some drugs.
Borthwick was sentenced to two years, nine months and to pay $230 reparation to his victim
