Police are searching for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run which left a motor cyclist with a broken ankle.
Western Bay of Plenty road policing manager Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said a grey people mover, similar to a Honda Odyssey, u-turned in front of a north-bound motorcycle on Cameron Rd opposite the Western Bay of Plenty District Council about 10.50am yesterday.
The two vehicles collided but the people mover did not stop.
The people mover was last seen turning left onto State Highway 29 towards Oropi Rd.
The car would have damage to the front drivers corner, he said.
