Police were responding to reports of someone having been injured near The Strand this morning.

A police media spokeswoman said police were called to the scene at 3.45am this morning and were conducting a scene investigation.

A reporter at the scene said the railway at the end of Wharf St was taped off with multiple police cars in attendance.
