A person has been arrested after a dramatic police chase through residential Tauranga today.
The arrest was made after a driver allegedly crashed into a parked car on a driveway in Gate Pa.
Western Bay of Plenty head of road policing Senior Sergeant Ian Campion confirmed police had been pursuing a car from State Highway 29 and on to Cameron Rd.
Mr Campion said officers lost sight of the car on Cameron Rd but police were called to reports of a crash in 22nd Ave shortly later.
"It appears a car has collided with a garage and vehicle on a private property," he said.
