Police are investigating the fraudulent use of a bank card which occurred on 12 June in Tauranga and Mount Maunganui.

The bank card was stolen from a residential address in Mount Maunganui and used during a number of separate transactions over a period of several hours to purchase goods.

In store security cameras have captured the image of a man involved and police wish to speak to him in relation to the incident.

Detective Sergeant Alan Kingsbury said that somebody in the community would know the man's identity and would hold the key to resolving the matter.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to contact the Mount Maunganui Police on 07 5753143.
