A person was left with critical injuries after crashing their motorbike in Tauranga yesterday afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said the single-vehicle crash happened near Memorial Park at the intersection of Fraser St and Eleventh Ave about 3.10pm.

She said the driver came off the bike.

The person was transported to Tauranga Hospital in a critical condition.
