People involved in two separate crashes in Tauranga this morning have escaped injury.

Two cars collided on Hewletts Rd about 7.50am, between Tasman Quay and Totara St.

Acting head of road policing Sergeant Wayne Hunter said the cars were involved in a nose-to-tail and no one was badly injured. There was no major disruption to traffic either, he said.

Just after 8am two cars also crashed on 11th Ave.

Hunter said this was also a non-injury crash and was not blocking.
