The royal wedding may be over but the spotlight on the next royal power couple is far from over.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have already announced their honeymoon will be delayed so they can return to work, are set to launch themselves on the international stage, with official visits that looks set to include a high profile tour of New Zealand.

Apparently talks are in place for Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, to visit New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and Tonga in October.

The couple are expected to start with a visit to Australia, where the Invictus Games for injured servicemen and women is being held in Sydney in October, before travelling to New Zealand.

It's a country that Markle has apparently travelled before as a backpacker and it makes me think how her looming trip will compare to her previous visit - quite drastically I presume.

Could you imagine?

Her life of slumming it in shared dorms, carrying her luggage around everywhere she goes and discovering random eating spots on a budget are all but a memory.

Granted, she had moved on from this life some time ago given she is a star in her own right but before her union with Prince Harry, there was still a chance she would have been able to move around with some anonymity - this will never be the case again.

She will forever live under a magnifying glass and everything she does from now on will be scrutinised.

I wonder if days, months or years from now she will regret choosing this life - not the choice of her husband but the decision to live under a microscope.

It's undeniable she is already aware of what she can expect, especially because she is a former Hollywood actress, but the gravity of it all will have been unknown until she is right in the mix of it - before the wedding I'd say she had only been given a taste.

But who knows? She has been a bit of a game changer for the royal family already so maybe she'll add some more flavour and she'll make things happen her own way.
