It's all go in Tauranga for New Zealand First at the moment. Especially with our new office in the arcade at 45 Grey Street, now open, between the street and stairs to the car parking building.
We've been getting a lot of people coming in for help with a wide variety of challenges, and I'm pleased to be able to say the we're able to help with most of them pretty quickly. It's great to be part of someone getting a good result, and it's been really nice having people come back in again afterwards, with a big smile and a thank you.
Obviously, not all issues are simple. The housing crisis is still hitting a lot of locals hard, but even there we've had some great individual success stories helping working families into homes. There is still a lot more to do, so the big picture clearly remains a top priority. Hard-working homelessness is completely unacceptable in the New Zealand we all know.
With the new office up and humming, I'm now looking forward to getting out and around town, to meet the people who haven't been able to come to us yet. Coming up on the 27th of September, at 7pm, I'll be attending a meeting at the RSA in Greerton, to talk to local people like you, about your needs, challenges, and concerns.
Already we've had a lot of interest in New Zealand First's plans to deal with the challenges of transport, jobs, and economic growth and development, and we believe that these will be key issues heading into the election next year.
