With one month to go, Maketu Kaimoana Seafood Festival committee has firmed up its entertainment programme and food stalls.
As well as 60s and 70s rock star Shane, singer of the award winning 1969 hit "St Paul", and support act Shadz, entertainment includes popular acts B-Side Band, Mr Reuben, Gunshy featuring Chris Gunn, Stave- Aotearoa, plus the winner of Maketu's Got Talent.
A new drawcard this year is the House of Travel Mystery Spot Prize. A lucky spot and time will be chosen by the sponsor and the person in the right time and place at the festival wins a mystery travel voucher.
The festival will have a wide range of seafood dishes from food vendors including seafood chowder, seafood, Thai food, mussels, oysters, whitebait, fresh fish, raw fish salad, fudge and chocolate, organic juices, ice-cream, crepes, spin spuds and more.
There will also be craft stalls from local artists.
