Hundreds of walkers keen to make their way up Papamoa Hills in the dark will raise thousands of dollars for Tauranga breast cancer sufferers.
The popular Papamoa Night Walk, on tonight and tomorrow, has sold out with more than 400 signed up for the 5km hike to raise funds for Breast Cancer Support Service Tauranga Trust.
The trust's service manager Helen Alice said 240 people would walk from Poplar Lane carpark to Summerhill each night.
"It is a very popular event," Mrs Alice said.
She said the event raised about $9000 last year and the sold-out event this year was expected to raise between $8000-$9000.
