Under its Cold Power brand, multinational corporation Henkel will be adding its support to the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic as the team's new principal sponsor.

Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Chief Executive, Tim Hamilton welcomed Henkel to the Magic family.

"We're extremely proud of our record as the leading New Zealand franchise in the ANZ Championship and it's great to have a leading brand like Cold Power partnering with us," said Tim Hamilton.

"Having a close family bond and culture is one of the keys to our success at the Magic and as a leading home care product, Cold Power is also all about family.

"On top of that our tag line is 'Heart, Power, Magic' which is emblazoned on our Kia Cerato cars, meaning there's already a nice alignment with that element of power too."

Kia, the team's previous principal sponsor, continues as a valued partner of the Cold Power Magic, alongside the team's other major sponsors Vantage Windows and Doors, Lodge Real Estate, Mother Earth, The Hits and Drive Sober (a Waikato Regional Council partnership).

"This is an exciting platform for our successful Cold Power brand to partner with the leading NZ netball franchise, Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, and positively leverage our mutual growth ambitions with people of the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and all netball supporters", said Lambert Bloderer General Manager Henkel Laundry & Home Care Australia New Zealand.

While the partnership is initially for the 2016 season pending developments in the ANZ Championship from next year, both parties are looking to form a long-term association together.
