The Lions Club of Mount Maunganui has a new president.

Des Anderson has handed over the reins to Haydn Boyle.

The handover was part of an international changeover of Lions club presidents, Mr Anderson said.

The new president's role will include looking after the Mount club's 60th anniversary celebrations next year.
