The Papamoa Beach Conference Centre will officially open its doors this evening.

The brand new multi-purpose building is situated in the heart of Papamoa Beach TOP 10 Holiday Resort, and boasts an exquisite beachfront location. Tonight will it host its first official event, in the form of the Tourism Bay of Plenty's Industry Forum.

Papamoa Beach TOP 10 Holiday Resort general manager Rebecca Crosby said they were excited to be able to introduce the community to the new centre.

"It's a corporate venue unlike any other, and a facility that the Bay can be proud of."

The 152 square metres of meeting space is surrounded by 16 acres of park like grounds and can accommodate up to 100 people, an announcement today said. It is suitable for anything from small staff workshops to large formal events.

Ms Crosby was confident the new facility would bring many positive benefits to Papamoa, being a short drive from both Te Puke and Mount Maunganui.

"It's an asset to the Bay of Plenty and perfectly complements the surge of exciting retail and residential development that is already occurring the Papamoa area," she said.

"It will definitely help to drive year round visitation. It's the perfect spot for delegates to work, stay and play in the one beachfront location. We get told all the time how much executives love to sit on the decks of their Beachfront Villas and work on their laptops while overlooking the ocean!"

The facility was built with the intention of providing a unique and inspiring corporate setting, where the focus could be squarely placed on innovative thinking and success.

Ms Crosby had been busily building alliances with local businesses to further enhance the corporate experience even further.

"We have partnered with the most superb caterers and activity providers that the Bay of Plenty has to offer," she said.

"We want to provide a complete experience for our corporate guests, where we take care of everything so that they can be inspired without having to sweat the small stuff. We can even organise team-building or staff incentive trips such as swimming with dolphins, surf lessons or kayaking with glow worms."
