Registrations are now open for Pink Ribbon Breakfast, with celebrity cook and author Nadia Lim encouraging Bay folk to invite their friends to breakfast in May, to raise funds for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.
Breast Cancer Foundation hoped to top last year's total of 130 breakfasts in BOP, where over 180 women were diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
Another 30 breakfasts were held in Rotorua and 24 in Taupo. Over 60 women were diagnosed each year in Lakes DHB.
Proceeds from this year's Pink Ribbon Breakfasts would go towards breast cancer research, with a focus on support for clinical trials, immunotherapies, preventing the spread of cancer, improving clinical practice for better patient outcomes, and treatments for advanced breast cancer.
Chef Nadia Lim said she was honoured to be fronting the 2017 Pink Ribbon Breakfast Campaign.
