The terraces at Hopukiore (Mount Drury) will be closed for around six weeks for repair work.
The closure will start on Wednesday.
Tauranga City Council says wet weather, alongside wear and tear from normal public use, has damaged the platforms.
The weather-dependent six-week closure is to allow grass to regrow after the rest of the work has been done.
