Motorcyclist injured in crash with car on Cameron Rd in Tauranga

A motorcyclist injured in a rush-hour collision with a car on Cameron Rd this morning has been taken to Tauranga Hospital.

A car and a motorbike collided outside Tauranga Boys College on the corner with 13th Ave this morning.

The police officer in charge of the scene said the motorcyclist had been taken to hospital with moderate injuries.

A police spokeswoman said they were notified at 7.30am.

An ambulance was also called to the scene.

A person was seen lying on the road.

Tauranga City Council has been advised about a small amount of oil on the road.
