Basketball fans will get the opportunity to get up close and personal with the NZ Breakers team on Monday from 1.30pm - 2.30pm at Red Square in Tauranga.
"The team arrives in the morning and will be available to sign autographs and chat to fans before leaving for a training session," Tauranga City Basketball general manager, Mark Rogers, said.
Portable hoops would be set up in the area to give spectators the chance to win tickets to the NZ Breakers game at the ASB Arena on Tuesday evening.
"Local hero Mika Vukona enjoys a return to his home town to give something back to a community that helped him launch his basketball career," Rogers said.
"He's a pretty humble guy who is a tremendous ambassador for our sport."
