One Bay student has achieved some amazing NCEA results which puts him into a league of his own after his decision to knuckle down and hit the books.
Otumoetai College head boy Adam Harrington, 17, has gained 90 credits in level one NCEA subjects with excellence, and 92 credits in his level two subjects again endorsed with excellence. To gain a pass required 80 credits. Overall the Year 13 student Adam entered for 137 NCEA credits and passed them all.
Last year I decided I needed to focus on what was really important to achieve my goal and my grades have really picked up.
Last year he achieved excellence in level three calculus, and level two English, chemistry, biology, physics and sports science. So far this year he has already achieved 47 credits for his level three NCEA.
The humble high achiever said he was "pretty proud" of his results.
