A man was taken to hospital after he was assaulted and robbed in Otūmoetai.
Police were called to the incident at the Cherrywood shops about 8.30am yesterday.
A spokesman said the man was assaulted before having his belongings stolen from him. The spokesman was unsure at this stage if there were any weapons involved.
