Papamoa schools have secured major additional Government funding.
Papamoa College will receive $5.1 million and Golden Sands School will receive $3 million.
Papamoa College can expand to 1,500 students in years 7 - 13, this is up from the current 1,100 students in years 7 - 10.
Golden Sands can also now expand to 520 students in years 1 - 6, up from the current 420 students in years 1 - 5.
"The two schools are relatively new additions in the community, but Papamoa's population growth means that they are already full to overflowing, so this new investment is well-timed," said Bay of Plenty MP Todd Muller in a release.
"I know the community will share my delight that our local schools will be benefiting from these expansions. This is a great part of the country to live and we see the large number of new houses popping up, which means our local infrastructure needs this investment to keep pace."
"It is great that Papamoa has been recognised and supported."
"It also shows we are managing the economy well. Jobs growth leads to more revenue and the ability to invest in services that matter, such as local schools," said Mr Muller.
