The name of the winning scratchie card says it all for one lucky Tauranga woman.

The Lucky Duck Instant Kiwi scratch card has turned $2 into $20,000 for the woman, which was claimed at the Gate Pa Superette on Friday.

The store's manager, Akwinder Kaur, was working when the winning ticket was claimed.

"You can't imagine how excited she was to win," she said.

It was not the first win for the store where, in September 2016, a $1 million first division Lotto ticket was sold.

And in February 2017, the store also sold another $20,000 winning Instant Kiwi scratch card.

"Of course this is a lucky store," Kaur said.
