Huge applause to Mr Prendergast, (letters, January 14, Calgary's [rubbish] system similar but more costly) someone actually fact-checking one of the classic knee jerk letters sent in.
Love the world-class service at a world-beating price line and from everything I have seen it will help us catch up with the rest of the world rather than the third world system we currently have.
Mr Prendergast rebutted Tony Fellingham's letter on January 12 where he argued a waste collection system like that used in Calgary, Canada would be more appropriate for Tauranga than the system proposed by Tauranga City Council.
