Firefighters have put out a shelter belt fire near Te Puke.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand northern communications shift manager Daniel Nicholson said about 50 metres of vegetation was on fire on Waimea Rd off Te Matai Rd.
A Te Puke fire crew was called to the scene at 12.10pm along with a water truck.
They reported the fire as extinguished at 1.15pm.
