Labour MP and former contender for the leadership role Grant Robertson is in Mount Maunganui today.
Mr Robertson, shadow leader of the House, is visiting the area ahead of the general election.
This morning he walked with local Labour candidates Rachel Jones and Claire Wilson down Maunganui Rd before heading to Gusto Cafe where he will lucnh with party members.
Mr Robertson will also attend the Aims Games at Blake Park this afternoon.
