Labour Party leader Andrew Little is visiting Tauranga today, just days after he called for the sacking of local MP Simon Bridges.
Mr Little will be speaking to residents at the Merivale Community Centre today before a lunch meeting with the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce at Mills Reef.
Discussion is expected to be around Tauranga's housing 'crisis', lack of affordable housing, spiralling rents, a 'chronic' rental shortage, lack of emergency housing, increasing homelessness, sale of state houses and job creation.
The visit is the first official visit to Tauranga from the opposition leader.
Earlier this week, Mr Little said Mr Bridges should be sacked after 'breaking the rules' with his involvement in the Northland byelection.
