Tauranga schools represented the city well in the national Jump Jam championships, with three local schools taking first place in their respective sections.
Children from Greenpark School won first place of the Year 4-6 Novice section of the Challenge category, while St Mary's Catholic School and Omanu School won first and second place respectively of the Year 4-8 boys section.
St Mary's also won the Year 1-4 open section. In the X-Factor category, Omanu School took first place in the Year 4-6 section.
A total of 11 teams from around New Zealand competed in the X-Factor category and more than 70 teams took part in the Challenge category, which was divided into seven sections.
