The headboy whose inspiring prizegiving speech went worldwide is visiting Tauranga to talk about his experience.
Christchurch Boys' High former student Jake Bailey made the speech from a wheelchair on his school stage, a week after being diagnosed with Burkitt's non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Now recovering from his battle with cancer, he would be attending a breakfast hosted by Waipuna Hospice this coming Wednesday in Tauranga to talk about life after making the speech, which hit headlines around the world.
The breakfast and talk would be held at Trinity Wharf, on Wednesday May 18 from 7am to 8.30am.
Tickets can be purchased for $30 by calling 07 552 4380.
