A significant event for coaches throughout the Bay of Plenty will take place at the Bay of Plenty Polytech on February 21.
The Past Achievers to Assist Future Achievers event has been organised by BoP Ferns Club and will feature a top class group of presenters in Sir Gordon Tietjens (sevens), Dame Susan Devoy (squash), Allan Jones (football), Nick Gill (All Blacks strength and conditioning), Dave Clark (squash), James Gibson (Sparc High Performance) and Simon Dickie (Olympic rowing gold medallist).
"The sports coaching forum will provide inspiration to all level of sports coaches, and also administrators and players participating in all sporting codes, whether involved with the premium sporting codes regularly exposed on TV and hard media or lesser codes," BoP Ferns Club chairman, Alan Trotter, said.
"Because the initiative has been fully supported by local sponsors Patchell Industries (Rotorua), Eves Real Estate Ltd (Tauranga/Mt Maunganui) and Sovereign Trust Ltd (Rotorua), we are able to offer this exciting initiative to interested local coaches and for them to be able to attend at a minimal entry fee of $20.00.
