A Whangamata farmer has been flown to Tauranga Hospital after a fall.
The 64-year-old had been working in a milking shed when he fell 2 metres, landing awkwardly on his back.
The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Whangamata due to the nature of the man's injuries and distance to hospital.
The helicopter medic provided pain relief and stabilisation prior to flying the man to Tauranga.
