NZ Fashion Week's over, and it's time for the next big fashion event on our calendars - the indulge Bay Model show. We picked up some tips from regular fashion show attendees on how to "do" a show, and, yes, that is when you are the audience, not the model.

1 Grab your girlfriends
A fashion show is a great excuse to get dressed up and have a girls' night out. We are still a few months' away from party season so what better excuse to get your sparkles and heels on in October?

2 Be organised
Be there early to get a good seat (unless you're lucky enough to have VIP seats!) and leave yourself enough time to grab a glass of vino and some snacks.

3 More is more
You can never be overdressed at a fashion show - more is always more: more sequins, more jewellery, more lippy. Ever wanted to rock a slightly quirky outfit? This fashion show is your chance!

4 Pack essentials
You don't want to be carrying a massive tote bag, of course, but you will need your wallet, indulge Bay Model ticket, lippy, compact for touch-ups, smart phone (think Instagram!), business cards (now, you never know who you'll bump into!), and mints.

5 Be camera ready
It's not just the gorgeous indulge Bay Model finalists who will have their photos taken - you never know when you'll be snapped by an indulge photographer!

6 Organise transport
Make a night of it and go all out - have someone drop you off at the venue and call a cab to get home. Plus you won't have to squeeze your bulky car keys into your clutch bag.

7 Channel your inner Kate Middleton
When seated, sit with your legs tucked under you and crossed at the ankles - it allows everyone to get past you easily and looks much better in photos.

8 Remember the night
Capture the moment, especially if you have a friend or family member on stage, but please leave the iPads at home, a camera or your phone works just as well and doesn't block anyone's view.

9 Get inspired
You'll want something new after seeing the latest collections from the three impressive stores at the show - Sisters & Co, Augustine & George Edward. You'll also be inspired by the indulge Bay Model finalists as they take to the stage, most of them for the first time!

10 Confidence
The indulge Bay Model finalists need it; so do you. Wear your outfit with pride and enjoy a night out with friends, wine and beautiful garments.

Our popular and inspirational event sees 15 lovely local ladies journey from their day-to-day routines to fully-fledged catwalk models. This year, models of all ages - students, mothers and even a few grandmothers - will hit the runway in the latest collections from Sisters & Co, Augustine and George Edward.
