Otumoetai Primary School's 116-year-old classroom arrived at this Historic Village in the early hours of this morning and is now being maneuvered on to its temporary site.
The classroom has been the topic of hot debate in past months as a group of community members fought to have it kept on its original site at the school.
The Ministry of Education paid for the classroom to be trucked to the village overnight but about $60,000 has to be raised to build permanent foundations and have the plumbing and wiring connected.
The building is currently being transferred from the truck to the empty grass site next to Detour Theatre at the 17th Ave site.
