The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter rescued a 36-year-old Te Puke man who had suffered a serious head injury.
Earlier today the helicopter was dispatched to a rural property south of Te Puke, where a man had fallen while working on his house.
It was unknown how far the man fell.
He was flown to Tauranga hospital in a serious condition.
The helicopter was used due to the serious nature of the patients injury and distance to hospital.
