One person has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after an incident in Waihī Beach.

A St John spokeswoman said medics were called at 4.22pm to the scene off Seaforth Rd.

A person was flown to Tauranga Hospital in a serious condition, she said.

A police spokeswoman said police had not attended and were not attending the emergency.
