A Gate Pa man is behind bars after admitting his role in two burglaries at local stores.
Andrew Chopper Taki, 30, pleaded guilty in Tauranga District Court yesterday to two charges of burglary and one charge each of possession of cannabis and wilful damage.
The first burglary was at Budget Mobiles and Computers store in Grey St on March 22 after a manhole cover was thrown through the window.
Eight cellphones and a photo stand valued at $2000 were taken and $1000 of damage was caused.
The second break-in was at City Vision's Clothing and Accessories store in Cameron Rd.
