The community group at Greerton who organised a recent yarnbombing event are appealing for help after part of a major display has been stolen.
The Greerton Guerillas group have been responsible for creating all sorts of creative knitted displays around the village, including an extra large ball of yarn with a pair of knitting needles.
The display sits on the roundabout at Chadwick and Cameron Rds but the needles from the yarn ball have since been stolen.
The group posted an online appeal for anyone who might know where the needles are, stating: ''Well we are really really sad to say that someone has stolen the needles from the yarn ball. The artist is devastated and we as a community are really really disappointed that this has happened.''
''This is something that we undertake for everyone's pleasure - so disappointing that it has been tampered with. Well..... all we want is to get the needles back.''
