Golf round of a lifetime for Tauranga man

Keen Tauranga golfer Jason Rowling is today enjoying the round of a lifetime after wife Sharlene won an online auction to play with one of the world's best.

Mrs Rowling spent $7500 to surprise her husband with a round of golf with teenage sensation Lydia Ko in Christchurch.

Mr Rowling has just enjoyed a practice run before the real thing this afternoon, Mrs Rowling said.

He was "very excited", she said.

The Rowlings own Carmel Country Estate.
