With the inclusion of women's sevens at next month's Rio Olympic Games, the women's game has been taking huge strides in the sporting world.
Bay Of Plenty has produced some exceptional talent within women's rugby over the years in both the fifteens and sevens versions of the game.
To encourage more of this talent Bay of Plenty Rugby are once again running a Girls Rugby Module to foster some of that local talent.
Starting next Friday July 29, there will be a Year 2-6 girls' rugby module held at Gordon Spratt Reserve in Papamoa for three consecutive weeks (Friday July 29, Friday August 5, Friday August 12) from 4pm to 5.30pm.
There will be group coaching sessions held at the start of the night covering key areas like safe tackling and ball into contact.
