Thursday is what I like to call New Movie Day.
It's the day of the week when the movies we've been waiting to see hit the region's big screens.
I'll be off to see African Cats, which is one of the new movies out today, just as soon as I get a
chance.
Kids movies are my genre of choice - after a day at work it's nice to escape with a flick that doesn't take too much brainpower to keep up with the storyline, but given the reviews I've read about this Disney nature documentary I'll be bracing myself for some scary chase scenes.
Apparently being made by Disney doesn't mean it's free of a few gorey bits.
A movie that's not so new though is the classic Rocky Horror Picture Show which Tauranga's Rialto is screening on Saturday night. Why not get dressed up and see the classic with a fun group of friends?
The Metservice has a heavy rain warning in place for the Western Bay tonight and it's looking like the sunshine won't be back for a few days so if you need some ideas to keep you or the kids amused over the days to come see B2 of today's paper.
There's bound to be a flick that fits the bill.
