I can't dance to save myself.
Attempts in the past have been met with ridicule. And fair enough - it's just not my thing.
I wouldn't have a clue what a foxtrot is and the tango? Ah, sorry.
So, you'd never find me in any public dancing competition.
Having said this, I admire those
who are taking part in this year's Bay version of Dancing with the Stars - especially the ones who are new to dancing.
The event is based on the popular television competition and features local members of the Tauranga Rock n Roll Club partnering with local identities.
This year, these identities include Bay of Plenty Times reporter Genevieve Helliwell.
Today, she tells of preparing for the start of the big fund-raiser and how there is some sibling rivalry with another competitor - her sister Charlotte, from Classic Hits.
