Starting this week, and lasting until the end of the ITM Cup, we will be bringing you behind-the-scenes news and colour about the Steamers and the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union.
The Bay of Plenty Times is championing the Steamers this season and calling on local rugby fans to get behind our local team and support them through the provincial rugby competition.
In our Monday paper, you will find a feature each week that provides an insight to the Steamers - the players, coaching team, management, volunteers and fans or Bay rugby in general.
The Steamers are the pinnacle of local rugby but of course there's much more to Bay rugby than our elite team.
This page is also dedicated to the thousands of players and their supporters who play in various teams across the region, and will also mark Bay rugby's centenary.
We will also be bringing you columns from the rugby union, player profiles, fan profiles and readers will also be in with the chance to win great prizes, such as a Steamers supporter pack.
Fans will know the team is this week preparing for their first pre-season game, against Taranaki at Katikati this Friday.
This page will also be your chance to let the Steamers and the public know what you think, about what happens on the field and off.
Some feedback will be published on this page and I am sure the guys will be pleased to hear from you.
So, why not get writing and have your say?
And if you have any other ideas of what you'd like to see on this page, let us know.
This is your fan page.
