The family and friends of one of the men who died in a tragic accident at Lake McLaren have visited the site to pay tribute to a "cheeky fulla" who was well-loved.
Friends Maninder Singh, 26, and Jagdeep (Gary) Singh, 24, died at McLaren Falls Park on Monday after Maninderswung over Lake McLaren on a rope swing, which snapped.
Gary jumped in after his friend, but lost his own life while attempting to save Maninder.
Family spokesperson Hemi Tipene, a friend and neighbour of Maninder's family, said in a statement that yesterday morning, his wife, family and friends visited the site to pay tribute to their loved one.
"It was such a beautiful time and showed how well loved Mani was as a personal treasure in our family and among his friends," he said.
"We have lost a husband, brother, son and friend."
Mr Tipene said Maninder, known as Mani, left behind his beautiful wife of six years, Jessica (Jessie), who has been left in tears but remembers the wonderful times they both shared and will cherish that forever.
