Christmas has come a little early for Belvedere Group Tauranga City United coach Duncan Lowry.

The passionate character, who emigrated from Northern Ireland to play for Mount Maunganui, has been given a Toyota Estima by the club's naming rights sponsor in recognition of his work in guiding the Blues to promotion to Northern League Division One. The car, through Tony Hammond Motors, shows the strengthening of a bond that has the capacity to guarantee the ongoing success of the club.

Key players Jerahl Hughes and captain Sam O'Regan, both also starting players for WaiBOP United in the ASB Premiership, have found employment through the relationship, opening the door for potential foreign players with trades to transfer to the club.
