Chef, author, photographer, and runaway success story Emma Galloway reveals how truly beautiful baking with wholegrain, gluten-free flours can be at this year's Auckland Food Show.
Creator of the multi-award winning food blog My Darling Lemon Thyme, Emma is one of the celebrity chefs at this year's show at the ASB Showgrounds from July 28 to 31.
In her demonstrations, Emma will be sharing her thoughts on different flours and how best to use them to bring flavour, texture, and nutrition to your baked goods.
I asked Emma some questions:
Who or what inspired you to take up cooking?
I don't remember a time in my life when cooking didn't play a prominent role. My childhood growing up on an organic vegetable farm definitely had a part to play in my love of food.
What is the best thing about being part of the Auckland Food Show?
I'm really excited to be part of the Auckland Food Show as this is my first year taking part. I'm really excited to see all the amazing innovative New Zealand-made products on display too.
