At least five people have been injured in a crash on State Highway 29 in Tauranga.
Emergency services are at the intersection of SH29 and Cambridge Rd at Tauriko after a crash was called in at 12.32pm.
The crash involved a car and a ute.
A police media spokeswoman said ambulance staff, firefighters and police were at the scene and five people had been hurt with injuries ranging from moderately serious to minor.
She said no one was trapped.
