The Bay of Plenty will benefit from the influx of passengers from two cruise ships today as the Dawn Princess and Sun Princess both dock at Port of Tauranga.
The duo is the first of the season, with the next set of two arriving next Friday.
The 2014 - 2015 season is set to have 17 days where two cruise ships will be in Tauranga on the same day.
On top of those days, the season is also set to have three cruise ships per day on January 7 and again on February 14.
Last month the Bay of Plenty Times reported that this year was set to be Tauranga's biggest cruise season yet, with one cruise company alone expecting to bring 42,000 visitors to the Bay.
