Firefighters have been called out to a shelterbelt fire near Katikati.
The fire reached about 60m in length, Fire Communications shift manager Mike Wanoa said.
The fire took hold of a shelterbelt on State Highway 2 near Kauri Point Road at 9.15am.
Firefighters arrived shortly after and the fire was now under control, with hot spots being dampened down, Mr Wanoa said.
