Only three months ago, the country was declared a drought zone.
Our poor farmers struggled with the lack of water and feed for their stock, while homeowners throughout the region watched as their once green lawn turned brown and people sweltered through the long hot nights.
Fast forward three months and we've had floods in the South Island and most of the country has experienced a polar blast.
Now, instead of kicking the blankets off at night, there is a rush to grab the spare blanket from the wardrobe.
