A queue of people snaked down the road ahead of the opening of the Tauranga Rotary Club's 27th Annual Easter Book Sale on Saturday.
Rotary Club members have been collecting books for a year and have spent the past six weeks sorting and pricing the thousands of books that filled the Mount Action Centre.
Ruben, 9, and Marcus, 5, Barrow asked to be taken to the book sale.
Ruben was a keen reader and was amazed by the huge number of books on offer.
The St Thomas More Catholic School student liked to read factual books and was on the hunt to find a copy of the Guinness World Records.
