"There will be plenty of sunshine on Saturday and you'd have to be really unlucky to get a shower in the afternoon."

The first day of 2017 would be sunny with cloudy periods.
The whole week and weekend would be between 23C and 24C with fairly mild temperatures overnight.
The South Island would bear the brunt of the front moving up the country, weakening as it reached the middle North Island, not bringing wet weather or strong winds.
January 1 and 2, when outdoor music festival Bay Dreams was scheduled, were looking dry.
"It's a bit far ahead and we only have computer model data but it's looking dry, maybe a chance of shower on Monday and highs around 25 degrees."
Weather Watch weather forecaster Aaron Wilkinson said the Bay was one of the better places to be in the country for New Year's.
"At this stage it is going to be dry. There's a lot of frontal activity in the South Island, moving up to the north, hovering in the background."
He said New Year's Eve would be dry, with sun and some high cloud.
On New Year's Day the front could stretch further north and there might be a few showers, mainly in the morning.
"But that should break away and the sun starting to show through in the afternoon."
